Put SKILL.md where Muse Code looks
Muse Code reads Agent Skills from ~/.agents/skills, $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/muse/skills, or a project .agents/skills folder. This is Muse Code, not the consumer Muse chat at ai.meta.com/muse.
What actually works
Claims follow Meta's Muse Code docs. Consumer Muse is a different product and is unsupported.
Put SKILL.md at ~/.agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md, $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/muse/skills/<name>/SKILL.md, or .agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md in a project.
CreatorSkills SKILL.md is the Agent Skills open standard. Muse Code can also import a Claude skills folder with muse skills import --from claude.
ai.meta.com/muse is a different product. We do not claim a SKILL.md install path there. Cursor .mdc will not load in Muse Code.
Get started in 3 steps
Requires Muse Code. Validate with the CLI if it is installed.
Download SKILL.md
Open a Muse-ready skill and click Download SKILL.md.
Place it in a Muse Code skills directory
Use ~/.agents/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md, $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/muse/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md, or the project path .agents/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md.
Validate, then use it
Run muse skills validate if the CLI is installed. Muse Code also reads SKILL.md trees it already scans, including imported Claude skills.
