Founder Profile
Caleb Leigh
Founder, CreatorSkills
Caleb Leigh is the founder of CreatorSkills. He previously founded Visuals by Impulse — the world's premier design marketplace for live streamers, serving 400,000+ creators before its acquisition by CORSAIR. He now leads AI and automation at Elgato while building tools for the creator economy.
Background
Before CreatorSkills, Caleb founded Visuals by Impulse (VBI) in 2015, growing it into the leading design marketplace for live streamers. VBI served over 400,000 creators — including names like Pokimane, SypherPK, CouRageJD, and T-Pain — and employed 50+ remote artists worldwide. CORSAIR acquired VBI in February 2021, integrating it into the Elgato brand.
Caleb's career started in cybersecurity and intelligence analysis, with roles at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Nike, Capital One, and FS-ISAC. That background — pattern recognition, systems thinking, and operating under uncertainty — shaped how he builds products: obsessively focused on removing friction so the user barely notices the tool is there.
At Elgato, Caleb now leads the automation and AI program, working at the frontier of how AI models integrate with physical hardware and creative workflows used by millions. CreatorSkills is a direct output of that experience: a marketplace that sells complete, tested workflow systems instead of scattered prompts.

Building philosophy
Every product should just work. The goal is friction removal so aggressive that the user barely notices the tool — they just notice the problem is gone.
Ship fast, keep scope small. A product that does one thing perfectly spreads faster than one that does ten things adequately.
Build for ecosystems with existing distribution. Plug into platforms that already have audiences instead of building from scratch.
If you feel threatened by AI, step back and reevaluate what you're actually bringing to the table. Run toward disruption, don't run from it.
Side projects & products
Beyond his day job and CreatorSkills, Caleb ships side projects across Stream Deck plugins, icon packs, Next.js web apps, and iOS games. Each one follows the same principle: solve a real problem, keep scope ruthlessly small, and ship it fast.

Visual workflow automation for Stream Deck, built around multi-step actions, integrations, and one-press execution.

Tesla lock sound library and install guide for finding, previewing, and downloading custom LockChime.wav files.

Stream Deck plugin that displays your GitHub contribution graph on your hardware.
Why CreatorSkills exists
CreatorSkills was born from a simple observation: content creators need workflow systems, not scattered prompts. The default AI experience — copying prompts from Google Docs, spending weeks testing your own — is inconsistent and exhausting. There was no middle ground where creators could find complete, tested systems built specifically for their work.
Every skill is a one-time purchase. Install once, reuse across sessions. Skills are grouped by the jobs creators do every week: scripting, thumbnails, analytics, repurposing, sponsorships.
CreatorSkills comes out of years inside the creator tools industry: Visuals by Impulse, Elgato, and a long list of shipped side projects.
