CLIP NOMINATIONS
CLIP 1 - Generative Art Mistake
Timestamp: 01:12:40-01:13:20
Type: Funny or accidental
Quote: "That's completely wrong. That's - chat, what is that. That looks like a chest x-ray."
Why it travels: It's a funny and relatable moment when something goes wrong in a creative process.
First 3 seconds: Start with "That's completely wrong" to capture the surprise.
On-screen hook: X-Ray Fail
Length: 40 seconds
Best platform: TikTok, because of its short-form and humorous content style.
CLIP 2 - Emergent Behaviour
Timestamp: 01:13:20-01:14:10
Type: Teaching moments
Quote: "I did not write that behaviour, that's emergent from the noise octaves interacting with the alpha cutoff."
Why it travels: It showcases an interesting and unexpected outcome in generative art.
First 3 seconds: Start with "Look at that" to highlight the emergence.
On-screen hook: Emergent Art
Length: 50 seconds
Best platform: YouTube, because of its long-form and educational content style.
CAPTURE METHOD
METHOD: B
Why this one: This method suits clarkbuilds because it streams often enough that a manual pass after the fact is impractical, given the target of two hours a week for clipping. Automated detection from the VOD can help identify potential clips, such as moments of high engagement or unexpected outcomes in the generative art, without requiring constant attention during the stream.
Who clips: Tool
Trigger: Viewer-count spikes, keyword detection, and audio spikes
Clips per stream: 4
Where they land: Clips folder in DaVinci Resolve for easy access and editing
WHY NOT THE OTHERS
Method A is not chosen because clarkbuilds cannot afford the constant attention required to mark moments live without interrupting the stream's flow. Method C, post-stream review, is too time-consuming given the stream's length and the weekly hours available for clipping.
SETUP STEPS
EDIT TEMPLATE
The three-beat template is designed to make your clips engaging and efficient.
Hook, 0–3 seconds. Start at the most engaging moment, never before it. For example, if you're showcasing a funny moment from your stream, start with the punchline or the unexpected twist. The setup goes on screen as text, not as footage - a clip that spends six seconds getting to the point has already lost. Text overlay carries the context a stranger needs in under eight words. In DaVinci Resolve, you can add text overlays by using the "Text" tab and selecting from a variety of fonts and styles. In CapCut, you can add text by tapping the "Text" button and choosing from various templates and fonts.
Body, 3 seconds to the end. The moment. Jump-cut every pause over about a second - dead air is the difference between a clip that finishes and one that gets scrolled. Captions burned in throughout, because most of this is watched muted. To add captions in DaVinci Resolve, go to the "Fairlight" tab and use the "Transcribe" feature to automatically generate captions. In CapCut, you can add captions by tapping the "Subtitles" button and selecting from pre-made templates or typing your own.

How it works
Tell us what you stream and how often
Content, cadence, session length, rough audience size. "Valorant four nights a week, three to four hours, about 150 concurrent" gets a workflow built for you; "I stream games" gets the generic one.

Questions
What is a credit?
The unit a run is priced in. Each app has a fixed price in credits, shown on its Generate button, and a run costs exactly that. Nothing is metered by length or time.
Am I charged if a run fails?
No. Starting a run holds the credits rather than spending them. The hold becomes a charge only when the run succeeds; a failed or cancelled run releases it.
Can I edit the brief and run it again?
Yes. Change any input and press Generate again, or open an earlier run and choose Adjust and run again to start from a copy of its brief. Uploaded files need attaching again. Each run is new and costs the applet's price; the earlier run stays as it was.
Where are my results kept?
Every run you start is listed under Your runs at /create/runs. Each one opens its own page, where you can read, copy and download the files it produced.
