Write your brief

Sample result, from a real run

Made from this brief: A regional credit union with about 40,000 members wants to start a YouTube channel. They came to me because their marketing director saw a competitor's channel doing financial-literacy explainers. Th…

This reads as a retainer engagement, and as a strong retainer candidate.

The eight-signal candidate score is as follows:

  1. They have hired this freelancer for 2+ projects in the last 6 months: UNKNOWN
  2. The content need is recurring, not one-time: SUPPORTED ("they have no video presence at all" and a stated goal of attracting "younger members" imply ongoing content needs)
  3. They have said something like "we are planning to keep producing this" or "we will definitely need more": SUPPORTED (launching a YouTube channel implies a plan for ongoing content)
  4. They pay on time and without pushback: UNKNOWN
  5. They give clear briefs and reasonable feedback: SUPPORTED (a discovery call with the marketing director and team suggests clear communication)
  6. They have referred the freelancer to others, or spoken about them positively: SUPPORTED (referred by a former client at a community bank)
  7. Their business is growing - more content means more budget: SUPPORTED (a growing business with a need to attract "younger members" implies potential for increased budget)
  8. They have asked about availability for upcoming work: SUPPORTED (they came to the freelancer with a specific project in mind, implying a plan for ongoing work)

The tally is Signals: 5/8 · Flags: 0/5, which indicates a strong retainer candidate.

Paste their inquiry, your call notes, the Slack message: whatever they actually wrote or said. Do not tidy it up. The opening of every proposal that wins restates the client's problem in the client's own language, and this box is the only place that language exists.

How it works

  1. Tell us what the client needs, in their words

Questions

What is a credit?

The unit a run is priced in. Each app has a fixed price in credits, shown on its Generate button, and a run costs exactly that. Nothing is metered by length or time.

Am I charged if a run fails?

No. Starting a run holds the credits rather than spending them. The hold becomes a charge only when the run succeeds; a failed or cancelled run releases it.

Can I edit the brief and run it again?

Yes. Change any input and press Generate again, or open an earlier run and choose Adjust and run again to start from a copy of its brief. Uploaded files need attaching again. Each run is new and costs the applet's price; the earlier run stays as it was.

Where are my results kept?

Every run you start is listed under Your runs at /create/runs. Each one opens its own page, where you can read, copy and download the files it produced.
